Dear boys and girls, all the mundane members of It's the End are assembled today to celebrate winning the Progawards' "Best Debut Record 2009"! This international award was perhaps somewhat unexpected, although entirely predictable by evolved string theory. Several quarts of absinthe have been consumed, and not only root canals have been cleaned, according to a Swedish reviewer. Somewhere to the south we can see off-tossed pope-strangling madness, and people cannot trust their lawyers or spouses at this point. Expect detailed photographic documentation of this "pardy-hardy-event" to show up on the web in the following days and weeks.

We just found some new reviews on the world wide web, or the Internet as some of you call it.

The first one comes from Prog-Nose. It's an E-Zine from Belgium. They do reward us with 7/10. Thank you guys! Enjoy the read.

The second review comes from Mexico. Manticornio.com is the site. Our knowledge of Spanish is limited to Babelfish's wizardry, however, and Mr. Babel is not always spot on. But the 9/10 says it all for us, so Salud! Check it out in Spanish.

The guys and girls behind Progawards have now upgraded us to the finals, which is a very kind thing of them to do. We have no idea how this will end now. The winner will be announced late February.

We teamed up with the great Mr. Lund (kjellivarlund.com) last weekend and tried the combination of guns, a chainsaw, a very hairy spider and a photo shoot. We're overly excited about the result. The resulting photos and some behind the scenes pics can be found at our Flickr page.

We've been sick of our old website for some time and decided to make a new one. The old one was almost entirely made using Adobe Flex, and was a hassle to maintain and update. The new one is much simpler and allows us to update it much more easily. We're continuing the development, so don't be shy about giving us feedback and general comments on the new design and added content!

For the past few weeks (more or less) we have been working on a really psychedelic music video for the track on our debut album entitled "Internal Combustion". The production method has been very weird, unusual and untraditional - just like It's the End itself. The video is now done and had its premiere on a private release party this Saturday. The people at the party seemed to like the fruits of our labor, and we hope the rest of the world will join them in their sentiments (the weird parts of the world, anyway). We will make it available on the web quite soon. So stay up-to-date!

Yes, it is finally out and can be picked up from Musea's website this very minute! Head on over there right now!

Our debut album has been released on Musea Records! With a length dangerously close to 80 minutes, it has been quite a time-consuming and ambitious undertaking.

The self-titled album features twelve tracks packed with our characteristic musical maximalism. Each individual track has been given its own particular sound and arrangement, to suit the various musical styles and to give the whole album a very unique and varied feel. In this sense, the album is truly progressive.

We just resently signed with the French label Musea Records. Right now, it looks like they will be bringing you our self-titled, dangerously-close-to-eighty-minutes-long debut album in and around the month of June this year. More news to follow very soon! :-)

The excerpts have not been made from the final version of the album master, but are parts of something that we have named the "MP3 master", a special master that has been tailored to complement (in lack of a better word) the sonic imperfections of the MP3 format. The additional compression that MySpace applies to all uploaded MP3 files makes this tailoring even more necessary.
